The company ‘Vitesse’ is a company in the port of Rotterdam with solutions for the logistics process in the port area of ​​Rotterdam. The company rents out and sells forklifts, warehouse trucks and other equipment for the logistics process. The company also carries out repairs and maintenance on the equipment.

The old office building overlooks the company’s workshop. This office is in need of a new furnishing. We were asked whether we could redesign the furnishing and layout of the office. On the ground floor, a new reception with a number of workplaces has been designed by using simple means. The canteen and kitchen have been given a completely new look. An open office structure has been designed on the first floor, as well as an office for the manager and a large meeting room. The installations have been sustainably renewed. In addition to new white and glass walls, the ceilings have been renewed with large white acoustic panels. The floor finishes in the entrance and the canteen are made of light grey tiles. All other floor finishes are done with a carpet reminiscent of the combination of Persian carpets. The new furnishing of this office results in an interior that can last another 25 years.
