The homes on the ‘Hoefkestraat’ in the Rochusbuurt in Eindhoven embrace the former ‘Joep Jansen site’. At an earlier stage, these 15 family homes were part of a larger plan on the ‘Joep Jansen site’.
The single-family homes are traditional in design. At the front, a dining room with an open kitchen has been designed. The main entrance is set back in relation to the facade. The large living room is located at the rear and backyard. On the first floor there is room for 3 large bedrooms and an indoor bathroom. On the 2nd floor, partly under the hood, there is a large attic and a large roof terrace.
A corner house has been designed in the bend of the street. The living room, dining room and kitchen are adjacent to the street side and the garden side. The first floor has room for 3 spacious bedrooms and a large bathroom. On the 2nd floor is a large attic.
The architecture is characterized by the warm red brickwork, the Dutch tiles, the white divided window frames with skylights and the continuous white roof edge gutter. The parapets of the frames on the ground floor are marked by vertical masonry. The front door is designed to match the style of the house.
